CGC Graded these and I need some community input

So I submitted both these Japanese Mew fossil cards for my 1st time ever with 8 other cards. And by the look of it the one that I claimed error ( offset print ) it got an 8, then the other one ( clearly closer to centered ) I sent in thinking it was a 9 and it was graded a 6! Here’s some photos, tell me what you think please !

See especially on the last photo how off the 8 grade is VS the 6?

Anyone have any input ?

The 8 is pretty OC and also tilted so I’m suprised to see it didn’t get the designation.

The 6 looks clean from the images so if i had to guess it’s likely there’s a large dent in it

Look closely at the corners of the CGC 6, there might be the issue with some bends as well

Oh wow, the CGC8 is definitely OC and like PFM mentioned, you can see a small tilt rotation how the top right border is just a tad bit bigger than the bottom. From the pictures the 6 actually looks very clean to me. There could be a dent that’s hard to see from it. On the back picture it looks like there are a few black markings on the white streaks. Maybe that was what docked it down ? Or it could just be dust on the camera lens

CGC is known to be very strict and their old and new slabs don’t really look appealing (except their black label perfect 10 which is much harder to get than BGS black label).

Wouldn’t send there to CGC at all.

For this Mew card, it actually looks better in BGS slab (especially with BGS gold label 9.5 and above) than PSA slab*. So would recommend to send to BGS.

*Note: Normally most Pokemon cards look better in PSA slabs, but there’re few which actually look better in BGS slab. My 2 cents opinion. :slightly_smiling_face:
