TIL that the combined supporter Trainer cards from Cosmic Eclipse are copy-pastes of earlier cards (the background are unique though, since I just checked ):

(With the exception of Lorelei, who’s missing a loose card. The artwork is re-used from the Let’s Go, Pikachu! Let’s Go, Eeevee! game according to Bulbapedia, though.)

And yes, I noticed some where already mentioned above.

Cd promo venusaur and GB promo venusaur. Different cards, but same artwork with differnt backgrounds. Venusaur being shifted to the right on the GB promo also.

Are some of these really the same art or redraws by Sugimori? I guess they still count as the pose is identical but the Neo Gen Xatu and Ariados for example are clearly the OG Sugimori watercolour and the newer “same” art looks like a later artwork with completely different, more modern (and far less appealing imo) colouring style.

In fact, they ARE complete redraws because, looking at them closely, there are tiny differences in positioning of anatomy. It’s only millimetres but it’s not stuff that would be affected by resizing.

Pedantic but I wasn’t sure how strict the rules are for what is the “same”
