This might be an unpopular opinion but I think Sugimori is classic within the context of their generation. The reprints with classic collection are fun. However, to put that art in a modern context. It just doesn’t fit round peg in the square hole. Like asking Monet to be Ferri

I’d love to get a modern Pokémon featuring Sugimori art every set or two, something like Skeledirge I think could turn out really cool.
