Blaine's Charizard!

Ladies & Gentlemen. I have a question for you all again. I’m sure you’re all tired of answering this… but I need to know for myself. So I have the corrected version of Blaine’s Charizard. The full Fire Energy labeled card. Not the fighting energy one. But I’m just curious, what is more sought after? One like I have the corrected version? Or thee fighting energy one?

Thanks for the help!!!

The corrected version is rarer but requires knowledge and a taste for niche cards for people to care.
If your question is about value the corrected version should be more expensive but may be harder to move depending on how much more expensive.

Corrected is highly sought after. Much rarer as well.

So I take it I have quite the rare card as I have had this since it launched back when? And its literally flawless. 0 white markings on back. NO scratches in Holo or on card and no print lines or anything. It’s literally flawless. So I take it I own a very special card?

I’m not looking to sell it or anything, but I’m definitely going to get it PSA’d eventually whenever I can get a job… and then keep it safe.

Thanks for that comment. I just was really curious because I had just found out that there was an error one out there about a week ago, and so of course I went into my collection and was like which do I have! So I wanted to just post in here and kinda see everyone’s take on that card. So thank you for the valuable information!

Very much so appreciated

Also worth noting that the Corrected version only appears in the Unlimited print run. AFAIK there is not a Corrected 1st Edition version of the card.

I was looking over some forums and it seems to be that you’re correct. I saw a posting that said something along the lines of… If you’re looking for a corrected version, with the corrected version on the Unlimited print, you won’t find it in 1st Edition… Because I was going to say, if it’s from one of the first 3-5 sets released… I definitely would have it, and it’d be in 1st Edition… but mine was not 1st Edition as you can see, and as I stated again… it appears forums have confirmed this as well, that the Unlimited print run didn’t come with a 1st Edition copy.

So good add-on there!

Hey, I’m not trying to rain on the corrected version parade. Collect what you like. It’s definitely a smaller pool of interest versus the overall interest of the card in any version though. If that makes any sense.

Only trying to answer the question of which card is more sought after. I guess it depends on how you interpret that question.

Friendly reminder for you or anyone else seeking specific knowledge on something here on E4. Utilizing the search tool will allow you to browse all past forum posts.

I would say the fire energy version is better, but why not own both?

I can assure if you get a PSA 10 it will be worth a lot. While there isn’t a designated label for this error there is a group of guys trying to trace how many PSA 10’s of the corrected version exist. Last I checked in it is still in single digits. I asked the last seller how much he sold his for and he told me $1500.

Very interesting. That is also very true. There isn’t an option for the corrected version and non-corrected version… pretty much the best way I’ve found to tell which is which, is just look for the 1st Edition labeling and if it has it, then you’re getting the error’d (or first run misprint per-say)… And if you don’t see the 1st Edition logo, there’s a high probability of it being a Fire Energy corrected run version…

I’d just really love to get it encased by PSA as I know it’s a very rare card, and I want to keep it preserved. I’m sure I’ll only get a 9, but I have had this card since I was 9 years old; & it’s extremely valuable and nostalgic to me. It is something that I would not part with as it’s something that has been in my family / my possession since the day I opened that pack with him in it.

It’s just really interesting how much the 1st Edition’s go for even though they’re technically an “error” printed card…

Thanks for this post! I just realized my copy is the corrected version, so I learned something today lol. I might even get it graded(it’s probably a PSA 7-8 or so).
