Been a while, Hi again =)

Hey folks! Nice to see you all again  been an absolutely rough two years for me personally, with the last half a year kicking me in the pants especially oof.
Anyway slowing starting to creep back online.
I’m mid move right now - which sucks becuase moving BUT in a month or so i’ll finally be able to do some actual picture taking of my collection (been meaning to for years tbh at this point) :D.
So half a post for goals/half a question, with the question first:

Any tips or tricks for how i should organize/display my stuff? Ive got the ralts line card collection in binders, a lot of random bulk in various binders/boxes, and too many collection items (plushies, figurines, obscure items etc) in. So many boxes my god. But yeah blank slate for room layout etc. I just know my room will be the only place for display.

So. In no specific order-GOALS!:
1)get organized like geesh
2) get back into the community! Here, on IG if its still the same, discord - everywhere i was b4. Its been a hot minute and i miss people.
3) continue the ever present hunt for gen three mudkip starter deck ralts/kirlia/box sighs. (See my post here for context) THE GRAIL OF GRAILS.
4) if you or a loved one were ghosted by me you may be entitled to compensation (but seriously- if i ghosted you mid convo or deal or something hmu to reconnect or so i can make ammends etc)
5) downsize- got too much stuff, not enough space, need money blah blah blah unsurprising. That said will be selling trading away some rare/niche as hell items at some point :eyes:
6) work on the website- ive got a website that is gonna be like. Master ralts line info site. Will have info on cards, ALL potential ralts merch, my own collection and related things. I’d love to get that going more
7) better organize my master ralts spreadsheet (thank god ralts hasnt been in new sets since i checked but still. I gotta rework it major)

Thats it! Nice to be back - still not gonna be major active but will be slowly building back up

Welcome back, Melony.

Not sure if this was specifically for me or it also happened with some other conversations you had  , but as I mentioned on Discord: concentrate on your move first. The Ralts figure and little stack of cards I had reserved for you have been on my desk since June 2024, so what’s a few more weeks/months. Since I don’t know any other Ralts collectors, everything is still reserved for you.

When you were gone out of nowhere, I thought you simply stopped collecting. I hope whatever bad experience you had these past two years haven’t worn you down too much, and I hope you can leave it behind you after you’ve finished your move and settled down in your new place.

I’m looking forward seeing the Ralts collection thread.

Unfortunately, I don’t really have any useful tips/tricks for displaying your collection. Whatever works for and fits in your new room I guess. :person_shrugging:
I’ve personally had two book closets I used to use for my twisty puzzles collection in my old bedroom; and when I started living on my own those two book closets are now partially filled with books :upside_down_face: and partially with my Seviper non-TCG stuff that’s worth displaying. And all my twisty puzzles are still in their moving boxes. Which worked out pretty well, tbh.

FWIW, I tend to keep all non-TCG cards and stickers in a binder; and also have a box for all the non-TCG Seviper stuff that’s either not worth displaying or I don’t have enough room for anymore (e.g. binders with Seviper cameo; calendars; non-TCG cards too large for the binder; etc.).

You could also just try and look for random non-TCG collections online or here on the forum to get inspiration/tips on how you’d want to display your Ralts-line collection. But again, it mostly depends on the available space in your room and the furniture/shelves available. :person_shrugging:

Greetz,
Quuador

well… you a little bit (sorry!) - but it more some convos on insta that i need to pick back up than anything. I Appreciate that you kept them for me after all this time <3
Long story short - medical issues on my end, resolved, but my dad had a major medical incident (he’s doing better now!) that has just taken over a lot of it.
-Hard to do things you enjoy doing for fun when you’re in a hospital waiting room hospital you know? thankfully things are moving in the right direction for him and for me now

Still figuring out what the layout of the new place will be, but i will take that advice for sure  i know imma have at least one bookshelf but after that its gonna be a jumble of stuff for a while.

thanks =) - And happy to be back!

Last year was an absolute roller coaster for me personally. The only advice I can give is to take your time with it. If you every need someone to chat with please dont hesitate to reach out.

Really looking forward to seeing this Ralts collection! I am a binder set collector so I keep most of my collection in binders. A close friend has gotten back into the hobby so I have had to organize all my bulk which has been time consuming but my daughter loves it so that makes it more worth it.

Was talking with my sister (who is in Navy and I never see) and a few good friends recently, and I realized as I’ve been trying to make a career change the last 3 years, I have fallen away from the things that I really enjoyed and the people who are a big part of my soul.

It’s important to focus on the things that matter most, whichever they may be. SO, if you find that you need to take it slow getting back in, OR if you find that being here and sharing and engaging is best, just remember that THIS community will be here regardless. Take care of yourself. Best of luck with the rest of the move, and I’ll be happy to see your “face” and collection here when you’re ready.
