At What Bid Activity % Does Shilling Become Suspect?

From my experience that is roughly around 69.69%

And what of the rate of correction?

Depends on the velocity of sales

Just noticed this auction went from 81 to 72 bids today. What does that mean?

Red flag?

Dunno, it was a $1600 max bid and a minute after it was placed it looks like the 277 feedback account string bid them up to it, might’ve been why the retraction was placed. Current high bid is from a legit account.

Also bidding $1 under the next hundred i count as a form of shilling (to not go over someones max bid). Eg bidding $799

I would say it’s also a bit complicated - I rarely do bidding and when I do it may be for one seller only. So my bidding might look shady when it’s really not… Lol :slightly_frowning_face: I don’t shill though and if a price goes too high for my liking I just stop bidding and forget about it.

I would morelikely bid $801.26 than $799Those odd extra few cents saved my butt many times and winning the auction

I don’t use eBay much (mainly use my buddy’s acct because it has high feedback and I was lazy) but how do you retract a bid? Is it an option right on the screen after you bid?
