Anyone ever see an (OF) qualifier used for pokemon cards?

Curious if any of yall fine folk have received, or seen this qualifier used before? I’ve seen PD, MK, ST (OC and MC naturally as well), but not sure if they apply this last one to cards or not.

Originally, I had hoped my fuzzy print machamp would get it to take another step in completing my goal for one of each qualifier… But I think I’m just lucky they slabbed it now, as I’ve seen a few get returned in the dreaded ‘nonoholder’ saver/label.

I’d ask PSA, but let’s be real, they have even less of a clue than us haha.

Cheers homies

Topps cards of the 1950s and 60s had a lot of out of focus cards. Shouldn’t have that problem with non photo cards.

Thanks for the input Gary, I appreciate it!

Would you consider this not OF material and more PD?

Seemed to make more sense to me it’d fall under OF

Good question. I would think it’s some kind of a printing error.

Many of us use imgur. Would love to see it so as to judge the focus.
Thanks

PS…you should be able to get a lot of money because of that designation. 1st I’ve ever heard of.

Whoa! I’d love to see it for sure!

They’re just all over the place with the cigar stain qualifiers I guess haha

what would you consider this? I sent this to PSA and marked it as out of focus in the comments section. They didn’t give it the qualifier though

I’d consider it a Print Defect myself, but I am also leaning towards OF too lol

Seems like they used the wrong qualifier

PSA and accurate grade qualifiers on non-sport cards.

That Wartortle is just gonna hit a 6 or lower.

actually the wartortle was already graded a straight 7

For real? Due to the over-center printing all appeal is gone… How they validate it being a 7?

They wouldn’t take points off of it just for being out of focus, they would give it the grade it deserves with the OF qualifier. most qualifiers are there to address eye appeal problems like out of focus cards and cards with printing defects. Qualifiers exist because a card can be gem mint but have some sort of defect that doesn’t directly effect the quality of the card itself but effects the overall eye appeal.

it makes sense the card got a 7. It had some edge wear and what not. What doesn’t make sense is why it didn’t the OF or PD qualifier along with the 7 grade.
