A Visual Guide to Centering

I often see the question asked if a card is too off centered to be a PSA Gem Mint 10. So in an attempt to help, I’ve taken PSAs grading standards for a 10 and turned them into a visual guide.

The image must be centered on the card within a tolerance not to exceed approximately 55/45 to 60/40 percent on the front, and 75/25 percent on the reverse.

TOP: 60 BOTTOM: 40
LEFT: 60 RIGHT: 40 PERFECT - 50/50/50/50 LEFT: 40 RIGHT: 60
TOP: 40 BOTTOM: 60

Keep in mind that the centering shown is right at the borderline of PSAs standards for a 10.

I needed this so much…

Now that I think about it, PSA is pretty lenient on centering…

This is extremely helpful for newbies like myself. Thanks heaps for taking the time to put it together visually. I will refer to this in future when PSA mis-grades my cards
