Really loving this thread. Awesome to see some of the pickups.

I am consolidating this order with other cards from Japan, so it should be able to come under the threshold.
Context: I am starting to really appreciate certain illustrators and some of the quirkiness in their art style. Sowsow is one of my favorites. It started with the Pikachu promo card (S-P 124). I noticed that there is a great emphasis on the background scene / setting in all of Sowsow’s illustrations. It conveys a certain mood for the Pokemon featured in the card and I have really come to appreciate these. I also realized that such pickups are really fantastic on a budget.

My collection needs are super hard to come by for under 10$ so I went on a quick little hunt to find a nice 10$ purchase!
I was able to pick up this lot for exactly $10.00 CAD
I needed the Call of Legends reverses and the Reverse Dragonair from Delta Species!

There aren’t a lot of modern Pikachu cards below 10 USD anymore (although I do have some of the SWSH061 Pikachu V incoming in German/French/Italian for ~7 euros each), but here is the next best thing: transparent ziplock backs and plastic paper sheets, rofl 
Bought them on impulse when I was looking for the Kura Sushi miniature keychain from the same promotion (which was a bit more popular/expensive):
Combined they’re just below 10 USD (excluding additional middleman fees and shipping from Buyee to my place of course), but I’ll combine it with some other items anyway.

Won all three from the same seller. All three total were over $10, but combine any two of them and it’s under $10:) Elemental Hero Bladedge and Cyber Blader are probably the two best. 1st edition super rares, all Near Mint; the description says they’re pack fresh and they appear flawless in the pictures, but to keep my expectations within reasonable limits I would be satisfied with at least a PSA 8 condition.

Bought these two R&S Holos, Hariyama and Slacking, for my binder set for a total of $9.99 shipped (pls excuse the $0.32 tax). Should be ~psa 9 quality based on the pics at least! Hoping for no hidden flaws

I’ve probably sent 100+ offers on eBay for PSA/CGC/BGS cards trying to scoop anything up for $10, this has become my challenge.
EDIT: Closest I got was a CGC 7.5 EVO Holo Hitmonchan for $12.00 (Shipping Included)

2nd submission. I’m afraid I’m starting to like these ex era holos and reverses more and more. As if I would’ve needed yet another hole to throw my money in. But I can’t help myself, they’re just so darn beautiful.

Great contest! For this one, I’ll go with something that isn’t a card at all. AzulRyu was the first person to show me these, and I’ve really liked the look of them ever since, even though I can’t justify the $100+ price tag that comes with the heavy metal ones, or the $40+ price tag that comes with these keychains on eBay!
That said, of course, Buyee and buying straight from Japan has it’s perks! I was able to buy this very cool keychain (based on one of the many manhole covers around Japan) for about $8, and I’ll be consolidating the shipping with a bunch of others. I picked up a Pikachu one for $12, and a Vulpix and Chimchar one as well for about $5, but I think Jolteon is the coolest. Apparently they came in blind bags, so you didn’t know which one you would get! I’ve also included a picture of a few of the actual physical manholes in the wild from Japan!
