Your Grading Turnaround Times - Let's Compare!

I had one that arrived January 25th and was estimated to be finished last week.

It missed its date and is still in research and is now estimated to be done the end of June :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Did either of your orders contain any cards that PSA had to research and add to their database?

Nope, never had that before.

You lucky son of a gun. I’ve got an order that arrived on Feb 26th that is still in R&ID…

I was shocked lol. It went grading to complete in less than a week.

To follow up, my order that arrived on Feb 26th and entered Order Prep on Mar 24th went into grading this morning (May 2nd)… and is already in assembly a few hours later. I’m not complaining though!

I’m getting ready to do a sub for the first time in about a year. Any differnece in the turn around times for PSA’s Bulk vs Value Bulk/Value? I know that its stated 65 business days for all but it seems like Bulk is pretty backed up.

This order just finished, hit Assembly within a day or two and then sat there for a few days, even with a check mark for a while. It seemed like they were going to upcharge me (they should have) but the grades released to me this morning

If it wasn’t for other people in this thread having subs eclipse the estimation date, I’d think that they really tried to stand by that date. I should get these within 5 days of the estimated date.

I’m having the same experience! An order from late Feb stuck in R&D until a few days ago is already finished with assembly.

Ridiculous, what’s the point in having a PSA membership at this point?

What’s the point of grading with PSA besides higher price to resell?

I don’t really see the point of grading with PSA for pokemon besides that.

insane

Consistency with the rest of a collection, arguably more reputable than other grading companies (yes I know that’s debatable and possibly even subjective).

Send both packages on the same day

Out of curiosity who would you go with instead?

Ngl, I’m going with CGC. Before you say “of course” and “don’t forget the scandal” they do a good job grading cards, they have the cheapest prices and price to turnaround ratio, and I honestly like their case. They did handle the situation with the playtest cards swiftly and accurately in my opinion, though I can understand the blame for not authenticating them soon enough.
