I’m pretty tossed on whether or not I’d even want a reprint with just a symbol variation. Hard to say what they will do.

I suppose the bright side to such a boring set would be it’s potential to draw nostalgic interest and, possibly, interest in newer cards from the currently unreached, formerly-collecting demographic.

Even ignoring how rapey that sounded, I really don’t know. I think I’d almost prefer something classy like the 15th Anniversary Reshiram/Zekrom than a whole reprint set.

I’d love a set similar to Stormfront but a lot more focused on the fact that it’s an homage to the beginnings.

Mix of Base Set Pokemon and new Pokemon.
All done in the old card style format.
Re-illustrated artwork in the old styles for the redone and the new cards.
Redone HP/Attacks to fit with current format(it’d be the dumbest decision NOT to do this)

This sounds even better than what I initially wanted. Just imagine EX’s Megas(no letter photo bomb) and gold rare cards in regular old school format. Yes.

Looks like IF it is a re-print, at very least it wont have the original backing printing (which would explain the sleeves) maybe due to a licensing issue, or maybe so they can print the fronts identical to the originals but keep the sets differentiated. Maybe they would put a special 20th set symbol on them too.

They better make a booster box of this, in english. I’m to stoked, hopefully everything is what we think it is. But if not the box and sleeves are nice enough.
