I have a World Record Holder Collection , was told they Comp at PSA 10, has anyone ever seen or heard of them. I’ve taking them to shops and many shows , but it seems as if people still haven’t seen them or caught onto them yet? What are your thoughts on these? I have 35 total, from a Jirachi Radiant Collection 2016 Holo, to a Sabrina’s Psyduck 1st edition, along with a Surfing Pikachu 2016 and a bunch of other Base sets and First editions. Just want to hear some thoughts on these.

extremely niche tbh, my personal opinion is its quite a weird gimmick and I wouldnt really pay for it.
Part of a world record collection but that collection has now been graded and split up? Idk its now just a jirachi to me. It feels similar to the ‘chumlee’ collection cgc also graded, those have absolutely no premium whatsoever

My thoughts personally are that they’re a useless gimmick that adds nothing to the slab and I wouldn’t value them above any other CGC authentic card. After all, “formerly part of the second largest publically known collection” is anything that this actually says.

No they are not worth the label its printed on. Been seeing a lot sell for just barely over the grading fee.

As mentioned, the World record itself was cool, but these CGC-authenticated and labeled cards are laughable at best. I do see the appeal in them somewhat, for the very niche collectors (I still wouldn’t want one personally), but it defintely won’t add any value compared to other CGC-AUTH of the same card imo. Anyone who states otherwise owns one of these cards and plans to sell it eventually..

I’ve sold a few around PSA 10 recently, so there are definitely collectors of the collection out there, but it’s definitely a niche market. I personally like them because they are one of ones. I just don’t understand why so many people hate them and what’s the reason for it? It’s almost like a meme stock.
A few reasons can be since the only time they’re brought up, its usually to know how much someone can sell them for, or advertise them as a “grail”. Also, I guess you can say some owners are just looking to pump them up or hype them up.

They slabbed them all up, all 100k or whatever the count was. Then the collection is broken up and sold? Doesn’t sound like a world record to me if you are just selling it off immediately after the publicity stunt.
I agree with other comments - the only time you hear about it is in a sales post or “how much is this worth” post. I’d be a little more supportive of it if people were actually excited to own it. But its always about the $$$

Well its because its very easy to hate. Its a random bulk card from someone who payed money to have a record in guiness and every time somone posts them its ”PSA 10 price”
Noone in the world looks at these and say ”wow so cool would love to own this“

I was actually quite heavily involved with this World record collection, the Brothers could no longer hold onto the collection and had to sell, having already gone through the approval from Guinness for an usage of the Logo which also cost tens of thousand alone for the rights. I had put a bid in for it but never got accepted, it’s a shame they ended up as slab bag gimmicks but it was the only way to maximise the return from such a mismatch collection. over 2000-3000 cards were all graded with other companies but it wasn’t the nicest set this was definitely a quantity over quality record.

This Jirachi must be famous
To be honest 50% of the people collecting pokemon are in it for the money, the other 30% are kids who love it, and the 20% of adults who actually care for the art and series , no one would be excited over a Charizard if it wasn’t worth 100k or a Pikachu, it could be any card worth money people get excited for, I dig the artwork behind them and illustrations, but that’s just me
