I sold two base set unlimited blister packs and the guy I sold them to just messaged me saying that he sent them to PSA to get them authenticated and encapsulated and PSA said they were counterfeit. I’ve owned those packs for over a year and didn’t see any sign of them being fake or tampered with. Anyways I’m not sure exactly how PSA works but he only received the packs 6 days ago. He’s stating that PSA will authenticate and encapsulate those blister packs if they were authentic.
He’s fucking with you, don’t worry. There is no way he could have the cards in PSA’s hands unless he flew out there in person and paid the highest grading fee (I think that’s like $1200 per item). They don’t do blisters anyway.
PSA’s turnaround time is not nearly that quick - the length of time it takes for him to ship to PSA + PSA to process the package into their system + PSA to process his order (of assumingly, opened blisters) + PSA rep to actually contact him far exceeds 6 days.
This scammer’s an idiot. But feel free to ask for more corroborating evidence from him besides ‘PSA told me so!’.
Well he needs to give you the official letter or whatever psa sends to make sure…of course who knows if those were your packs either. 6 days is very quick too, he would’ve had to have paid more than the unlimited booster packs were worth to get them graded that quick…I see on their site that 2 biz days is $95 per item.
No, only the cards. I have asked PSA regarding Vending Series Sheets, for example, and even those they don’t grade or authenticate (similar to jumbo cards). The guy is trying to scam you, is what is happening. If he returns them just make sure you record everything well framed…because if it was through eBay/Paypal, that is your only chance.
I messaged him asking for screenshots so I guess we will see. After I called him out on all of this he stated that he wasn’t trying to scam me or get a refund just simply wanted to make sure that if I had anymore of the blisters that I verified they were real. I’m guessing he was fishing to see if I would offer a refund or not and then changed his story around.
