Will eBay reimburse for not giving me a coupon correctly?

Hey guys. So I’m taking FULL advantage of the 15% off coupon for basically all pokemon card purchases right now on eBay, but I hit a snag. I stuffed my cart with 6 items to be bought and then when I go to check out it only includes 5 in my cart at any one time. No matter what I do it omits one of my items. Super frustrating because it means one of the items that I am obliged to pay for will lose out on having the coupon applied.

My thoughts on possibly why…

  1. eBay may have a limit on my account for how much I can buy at one time. If this is the case then a phone call would fix this, but I can not call since cornovirus shut down eBay’s customer service.

  2. It’s a bug in the system.

Do you think eBay will actually reimburse me for my lost savings? It is an open and close case and very simple to see the issue, but it may take a while with the current situation I understand.

Happy with my purchases still, but the point was to only buy what got discounted, so…

If it’s a bug and you contact customer service they’ll likely give you a coupon for that value.

Normally I would call, but the customer service is down. I emailed customer service, but decided to just buy the other item separate because it’s unfair to the seller for me to make them wait. Hoping I get a coupon at least.

Did you read any terms and conditions of the coupon? Perhaps it is a 5 item limit.

@ccrntrade, That’s not possible because it would only allow 5 items at checkout “before” applying the coupon code. Very good idea though! Thanks for the input.

What is the total for the 5 items because they have the coupon capped at 50 saved

I wonder if ebay will reimburse me for not giving me a coupon at all despite their other “deals” spamming my inbox every day.

Terms and conditions says - Coupon does not apply to auction-style listings or purchases made through the Best Offer feature.

So i guess listings must be fixed price buy it now only.

I didnt even get the coupon :unamused:

But they probably wont reimburse. I tried once when coupon wouldnt apply properly and they couldnt do anything

I’m just surprised ebay is having a 15% off coupon and I have heard nothing about it.

@surfingpikachu, All of my purchases were best offer scenarios lol

Heard back from an eBay rep. All they did was see that I paid and did not investigate further. Why not check and see that I only had the coupon applied to 5 of the 6 items? Of course it was a message with no reply option, so now I have to message support again explaining that I paid and would like a refund for the item left out equal to 15%. Pretty silly…

You probably reached the max $50 savings cap? What was the total of 5 items vs 6?

One-time use, and $50 cap on purchase of $200 or more.

@kpod, Yea it did not reach the cap. With the 6th items it would have been about 46-47 in savings. I was at 41 without the last item.
