Tyranitar is a bamf. His shiny form looks amazing too. Gen 2 (Crystal version) was my introduction to Pokemon and I’ve always liked the pseudo legendary BST 600 Pokemon.
Kingdra was the first Pokemon that the crystal version battle tower destroyed me with as an 8 year old. I managed to whittle it down to whatever health and then it just rested back to full and used a berry to wake up. My tiny child brain was blown. Then later I got to Clair and her dragon Pokemon convinced me the type was cool. Lance too.
Garchomp was my introduction to competitive battling in the games on Diamond version WiFi battles. A swords dance yache berry garchomp was the first Pokemon I ever EV trained and it kicked a lot of ass before Smogon decided no more fun allowed lol.
I played a ton of gen 4 competitive and Gengar was also a favorite of mine at the time due to its amazing coverage and high speed + levitate.
Just today I decided to add steelix to my signature since it’s another long time favorite, from the 3rd movie, gen 2 in general, and my more recent foray into gen 2 OU on whatever the current name for shoddy battle is. I think Pokemon showdown?
