Why do people store cards like this?

On Australia’s local version of ebay saw this add of a guy selling his collection with… A first edition charizard with a rubber band around it…
just thought i would share

They probably think it’s safer than jamming it in a box. Also probably a childhood collection and they never were taught how to store cards safely

this is exactly how I treated my collection when I was 13. the memories :’)

Cringing too hard seeing this! So much value in these cards

I was that guy once, not proud of it. I did it to commons and uncommons though. That zard does not deserve that.

Cringe*

I think almost all of us as kids did this unfortunatly. I would punch myself if I could go back in time lol

This is blasphemy and should be considered an eternal sin!!!

Leviticus 18.22 " You shall not lie your Pokemon cards with rubber bands as you do with other things, it’s an abomination."

Religious people worrying about gay people meanwhile we have people around the world committing sins such as these!!!

All jokes aside, I am pretty sure I remember carrying a Blastoise, Charizard, and Venusaur in my pocket as 5th grader. It was deemed Satanic in my school so I had to hide them :sunglasses: .

That right there is a good part of why PSA 10 1st Base Zards have crossed into the five figure realm.
