Why are French cards always in terrible condition?

Yeah I take full blame for being wishywashy and missing out

Not wanting to break the rules here, but I’ve got a good chunk of non-english WOTC in various languages, mostly NM bulk. Was never on my priority list to deal with but would like to offload them…just always struggled to figure out how to price them appropriately…

Not a single soul on earth knows how to condition French cards

The only true answer is that they are French.

@Tryson21 has quite a few French language cards and grew up collecting them so would be interested to hear his take on this.

I wouldn’t care so much about the condition if they were not priced so stupidly.

It’s almost like they think they’re dealing with gold

I got lucky with trading for a lightly played jungle French jolteon

Well i think that people in france really dont care much about condition, or rather didnt care for a long time.

On top of this, adults didnt really get into pokemon in France so it was only kids collecting, hence having your collection in a your pocket with a rubber band.

Also the anime wasn’t streamed much. or streamed at like 6 am or smth.

Most of my french cards are MP or more cause pokemon was like a fun game and the cards were like a side cool thing that we traded and valued but condition didnt matter that much
