I’ll always be wary of the high pops of current modern
however, A huge wave of people entered the market 2020-now and these are the cards that they recognize. Take a card like umbreon 161 (sunbreon) with ~3.5k psa 10s. Whats 3.5k compared to the millions of collectors and investors out there?
yeah vintage is much lower pop but i think the future is current modern. In 10-15 years these cards will be viewed as vintage as well but have much wider recognition than say. cards from the mid era. I think the WOTC era cards will continue to appreciate and be sought after equally but the sets from 2004-2015 will continue to be disregarded. yeah shining, gold star will always be popular but in general diamond and pearl, black and white ext will continue to be disregarded despite low pops. Even in this boom most the these cards are undervalued
