Thanks! Kamonabe is my favorite TCG artist so I had to find a way to get them in my binder. There are way too many good artworks locked behind a screen ;_;

I can only really compare in window bursts as that’s how I’ve historically engaged with the hobby but:

Buyee inventory beginning of 2026 seems considerably lower than it was in October 2025. With that said, October 2025 had smaller inventory than May 2022 (obviously). However, I’d argue that the time between noticeable inventory shortages seems to be decreasing.

Prices have caught up with the Western market, if not surpassed them in some cases.

I’m from Aus so I don’t have the issue of tariffs.

I agree with @Dyl and frankly this hasn’t been my experience either. The bulk of the interest in high-end vintage slabs I have came from IG dealers or cryptobros as well. With that said, I don’t care who buys my cards. Once I’m paid and the card is with the owner, they can burn it for all I care. Drop those pop reports lower, fk it.

I’ve also noticed there has been a complete influx in dealers over the last year or two compared to when I was predominantly around in 2022. You used to have like four reputable dealers, whereas now you have like twenty at least. Perhaps those dealers are buying our cards then selling to the high-income earners who can’t be assed putting in the effort or time.

Either way, I don’t really believe there’s some trove of high-income earners who have all done their due diligence into what they’re buying. They don’t need to know what they’re buying – but I’d like to think most of these individuals are smart enough to not drop 30k that haphazardly, even if they were to earn 200k, 500k, or 1million a year. Everyone sees value differently though.

I also agree with @Bellsprout that it doesn’t actually take that many high-income earners to absorb the market. I think people are overestimating the number of buyers, whilst also underestimating the ease of which it is to eradicate the available copies on the market. There are a number of people on this forum who, if they wanted, could buy-out all the copies of a specific card on Buyee and eBay right now. That doesn’t inherently drive the price, but eliminating the supply is a good first step.

Seems like one of the best skills someone can learn these days is drawing. How long can this take to make, one afternoon? :grinning_face:

Been seeing a ton of Authentic Altered CGC cards on Fanatics and eBay lately. At least they’re catching some of that crap.
