It makes sense that non Pokémon related threads show up, are popular for a bit, then die off after everyone engaged with it.
If we wanted to talk about Corvettes on e4, that is cool and all, but there is the Corvette Forum that is dedicated to just Corvettes where you can get a lot more information and interaction

@eeveeteam Exactly! This is primarily a collecting forum, mainly about pokemon. Naturally off topic conversations won’t carry on as long.
The only restriction from staffs end would be that off topic has to be topical. I’m not opening E4 to read peoples hot takes on global issues. There is a time and place for that, and that place isn’t a Pokémon forum.

The way I see it, is like this.
I joined Efour, a Pokemon enthusiast forum, to engage, discuss and read up on all things Pokemon related, since my other social circles aren’t capable or even slightly as knowledgeable as this site. Efour fills that gap in the hobby/collecting aspect of my life that I can’t get else where.
For everything else, that’s “off topic” that I’m looking to discuss or engage in, that would be for my other social circles. Friends, family, etc would be where I find that engagement.
Personally, I wouldn’t want the two to spill over into one another, but that’s just me. That just starts to feel too “Reddit” like, but I also understand for the people who view Efour as being the two in the same for them.

I have no idea, probably very few if any like pfm said. It certainly wasn’t my point to intimate otherwise.
