For German cards, Base Set cards have the galaxy holo foil while everything after them (so Jungle and Fossil as well) have a cosmos holo foil.

I guess the issue with buying sight unseen from Japanese card stores is that occasionally you’ll accidentally get the much rarer unlimited version of cards instead of the 1st ed version you wanted

Yeah, I love Amazing Rares. And they are so cheap!
Sometimes I wonder if Amazing Rares or Radiant Rares will ever have value or collectability in the future. Right now they are so cheap but also represent a lot of popular Pokemon, the Radiants are “shiny” versions, and both have unique holo designs. I don’t know…maybe they are too easy to pick up and not difficult enough to pull to ever be worth money.

best missed opportunity for new rarity ‘gimmick’, I think.
On this one specifically, I love how the colored splotches transition into the background. like a bob ross painting. Lots of shading and tones.

Yes this error is much more rare than the Butterfree.
What is interesting is the obstruction is an oval than can change in size and orientation as well. I’ve only seen a handful of them
