@niece my copy felt like a steal when i bought it earlier this year so deals still exist for it too
@mthursty i feel very good about it, it was so long term project that i’m glad to finally finish it, and he still does new cards so i can continue my habit of appreciating the artworks bought as singles in future too
@bbobrob thanks! One of my favourite binders, different kinds of eye candy from era to another!
A pick up I didn’t post from a couple of weeks back:
Entei with a holofoil error - he’s a low shine boy anyway, but there’s a patch of holo under his belly that stands out differently only under certain angles of light too.
A few recent purchases and also an awesome trade mailday !
A long time trade result for Snack stickers, toppu card gum cards, meiji dice and a very rare Pokemon Center postcard with artwork from Nishida if I’m not mistaken
Another snack sticker I was missing
Meiji stickers
More meiji stickers
Holo Banpresto Chara Spin pogs
Some pokemon center flyers / postcards
2 Lotteria burger stickers
Ho-oh Toppu card gum 3D (unpeeled)
2 Banpresto charamail postcard from the johto era (part 6)
and last but not least 2 sets of Bandai Battle coins (black and silver)
@nidokingdom The Nishida postcard is beautiful! Curious as to what part of the 3D Top card peels? Does the back non-3D side peel to reveal something? Or are the two different backs you can have with the card actually the same card, just one is unpeeled and one is peeled? (I thought they were two different cards, but maybe this isn’t the case )
Basically I discovered this like really recently, while nearly completing the ultimate master set. (me thinking there was 3 sets)
(These came with gum as usual, and a pair of 3D paper glasses)
So first each card has this 3D side :
So you could peel the card like a sticker and reveal the “back” of the card (which I find weird tbh), I would find it much more logicial to hide the front (3D) of the card, because that’s kind of the main attraction of the card, being 3D.
So I learned recently I was collecting both sets and the full unpeeled set
Ohh, that’s interesting. I was under the impression that they were different cards too But now I know I’m looking for the unpeeled version of the Jumpluff card. Good to know!
If you’re looking for a constructed set list for the Top 3D-only cards (not the 3D reprints of the pink-border VS cards—but I’ve put together a list for these too), @Captain_Corsola has some information here and a set list based on his set here, in case you find them useful They also seem to refer to them as different back variants rather than unpeeled/peeled cards, so maybe your discovery is pretty new information!
I got this kingdra box for the kingdra card and gave my kiddo the packs. A little annoyed this morning. I was beyond excited for that lost origin staff Machamp, but after 6 days ive heard nothing from the seller and it hasnt been shipped. After 2 messages to them my order got canceled. Oh well there will hopefully be another opportunity. I also ordered the piloswine staff variant, as well as the last two for my fates collide and silver tempest staff promos, will post updates when they are here.
Nice! Great action-hero porygon! You’re a porygon species collector too?
Aggregated pickups post Been chonking my way through Vs for my recent collection update. Also got a really nice Raichu at my LGS, and an eBay homerun with the minty Umbreon. Lastly, TY to whoever posted the Ultimate Rare yugioh collection, I picked up a D Magician for my nostalgia collection They’re very cool!
If one thing could never change about the TCG, I hope it’s sub $5 gorgeous full arts. Especially when you’re picky about art style and details, it’s nice to find a new card after one or two sets where none of the hits really do it for you.
@xileets The VS cards are great. Every card looks so good, but I especially like that Surge’s Raichu! Also, I didn’t know that the Dark Raichu was released as part of the Neo Discovery set in Japan, so that’s news to me!
@oorah The Skarmory card is beautiful and is the most metally we’ve ever seen him!
