Couple of pickups while i had a buyee coupon to use got 10000 yen off the case of 20 Vstar universe, little scared how much the import fees are going to be but still got to be better then eBay right now for what’s available in the uk.

Currently building my base 1st edition in psa 9 grades. Most difficult choice i had to make was getting a lower grade 1st edition Charizard vs a shadowless psa 9 as im not ready YET to make such a big purchase like a psa 9 1st Ed zard. After a few weeks i decided to go with a lower grade 1st edition and it arrived 2 days ago in the mail!
I never knew a psa 5 still looks this good! From now on im buying the card, not the grade.
Edit. This also keeps the chase to a higher graded copy alive, which is also nice.

Huge congrats! I also bought a PSA 5 1st Ed Charizard earlier this year just so I could finally get one in my collection. Always can upgrade down the road, but it was honestly getting hard to find one for a good price at all the grades I was looking at and I worked out a good deal.
Anyway, 5s can at times look really good. Mine easily has near-mint surfaces, it just got dragged down mainly from the corner whitening. I love it though, holo is clean.

Congrats with your zard too! My main criteria were good centering and i prefered a thick stamp, this has both but it comes with light holo scratches but even those are not that bad when you see it in person. Although a psa 5 sounds bad it still stands for Excellent. Defenitely looking for deals on some lower graded cards from now on!

Same criteria for me, I also went for the thick stamp. Mine has near identical centering to yours, so good eye appeal . The holo on mine is about the same that I’ve seen on some PSA 8s, so very minor surface flaws only really noticeable at certain angles/lighting. I honestly feel it’s undegraded, but just my opinion of course. “Excellent” is generally an accurate description and they can make for really good deals on these old holos at times.
