What this is? (Card Identifying Group)

[Tacotidalwave]

Hey Guys, I wanted to create a thread specifically for identifying niche or hard to find cards, feel free to post!

[Tacotidalwave]

I will post one to get the thread going!

I have this Cosmos holo Oshawott from the Black and White Series, I remember getting it when I was a kid and for the life of me can’t figure out where it came from, any ideas?

[Dyl]

Here’s the card and the box that it came from.

Wow Absolute legend, thank you so much! it was so tough searching online where this came from

I found this. Mellon gym is unofficial competition. not my photo

[Tacotidalwave]

Oh wow, that’s super unique, it’s amazing how they managed to find it in the magazine too! they have a similar thing over in China where every time there’s a big event people will hand out their own customised merchandise, this is where it gets super tricky because lots of things look so official

I have a folder of unidentified stuff I’d like to identify!

I’d like to know where these scratch cards came from (ignore the batt-memo on the right side):

These Pokémon playing cards, which are different from the usual ones with sugimori art:

[mathonsunday]

The first item was part of the blister packs for batt memo and is described in more detail in the batt memo article here: Guide: 1997 Tomy Batt-Memo

The second one is the same PiPiPi artist who did the phone cards described in this guide: List of All Japanese Pokemon Phone Cards

If you own it, you probably already know, but the second one is an appendix poker deck that came with the Ciao magazine.

Edit: Oops, didn’t see you already knew it was a poker deck

[banks]

can we see pictures of the fronts/backs of the cards inside the deck? I haven’t seen these before

[doublefelix921]

I don’t own them, but here are the other pictures I have saved:

On US Ebay, you can search Ciao appendix deck and there are a couple examples. Here’s the deck:

For the future, always head to Bulbapedia first, that’ll usually give you an answer pretty fast.

[Tacotidalwave]

Thank you so much, really appreciate this, I’ve been searching through Bulbapedia recently to try and find all the Pokemon League play promos from D&P-HGSS, this is my next big goal
