I regret that as a young adult, I entrusted our childhood collection to my brother including our 1st edition base set holos, who either got rid of the cards, or the ones he kept he had his kids enjoy which is great in a cosmic sense for passing enjoyment to the next generation, but has ruined the condition of those remaining first editions.
I let someone I thought was a good friend literally bully me out of collecting when I first started getting back into the hobby in 2012. Didnāt come back till 2020.
oh what could have been
Not being born earlier.
Same thing as I mentioned in a separate thread about collecting regrets: not buying duplicates of items I like. Now I have a bunch of items I love, but I would be taking more advantage of the market if I could sell one and still have another copy.
Nah. I stored it in the sink.
I don“t really do regretting in the sense that I“m stressing about it. The person I was when I made those choises apparently, well, made those choises. What I do (always) aim for is to learn from choices I now deem stupid and, if applicable, feel guilt to help myself refrain from them.
I do occasionaly think back about a Base Set boosterbox I sold in 2019 for 2k to free money for a vacation to Bali. The vacation was nice though. Like @camrok37 said, this wouldn“t have been a thing if I had more of such boxes, but, unfortunately, I do not.
Dismissing the TCG because they were hard to display, I like having shelves with my collectables visible and with the TCG is hard to achieve that goal. As Iāve gotten older, I definitely appreciate the lack of space cards take up in a binder. ![]()
Not stacking up the ponchos when i had the chanceā¦
I thought these cards were kinda goofy back then..
Oh wow. What are the cards facing backwards in the middle row?
Probably sleeves
Starting lol
Yup sleeves! Should have also stacked them up lol
Easily not buying more. I can name specific cards that I could have bought or even held in my hand and I simply said naaaah. Literally thousands of dollars in opportunity missed sadly, but I shouldnāt complain. You always want more and Iām happy I got what I did.
Dragging my feet on finishing my Lv.X master set, my first collection goal that is still incomplete 5 years later
