Obviously this is a scam, however I don’t understand the angle of the scammer.
First of all, doesn’t paypal hold the money of new accounts for X amount of days?
Also, they are only getting 14 dollars even if they did get the money.
Are they actually shipping anything out at all?
I have been seeing a lot of listings like this lately and I am super curious what is going on with them.

I think the planned scam is that by the time the paypal money clears (its like 14 days or 31 days cant remember) they would have received the money as the scammed buyer would assume it is still in transit? (as China shipping is actually slow) Honestly I don’t see what they could get out of this apart from maybe that?

To be honest I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s some test running for a program that will automatically make new ebay accounts, post the pictures with the sale price, then once it sells tries to withdraw the money when it can and closes the account. Not sure exactly how it would work but something along those lines. Scam for sure, but I think they’re still ironing out some details such as the asking price. But maybe they’re starting low just to test it out and see if it works first.
