Base Set to Platinum is most of my collection, but I am starting to lean into HGSS. After HGSS, it’s primarily promotional cards only.

Being a species collector, I collect both. I think that both have their charm, just in different ways.

Vintage, hands down! It’s got the nostalgia factor and some truly iconic artwork. Modern cards do have their charm, especially some of the recent promos, but the vintage era just hits different. Plus, the older cards often come with a great story of how the hobby has evolved. Intrigued by the cabal? Here’s a hint: :cherish_ball: “antiquior. rarior. integrior. melius.”
