Over the past year I’ve been noticing a trend. I’ve been to several tcg shops and the majority of the time if they have something pretty rare in the cases, it’s a heavily damaged Jolteon gold star. I haven’t bought any of them but it just seems like no matter where I go it follows me. That’s what sparks my question, What unusual card can you not seem to get away from?

OMG… Base set Devolution Spray’s stuck to me like super glue. At times whether I opened 1st Ed, Shadowless, or Unl it felt like I pulled nothing but DS’s.

I don’t have any local Pokémon shops, so there isn’t really a card that’s ‘following me’. There is however one card that seems to be cursed for me, which is the Italian HG&SS Pikachu with Pokémon Day stamp.
I won one in an auction about halve a year ago. While it was incoming, another one (cheaper of course) popped up on eBay. Not too surprising, because this happens all the time. You search for a card for more than a year without luck, and right after you buy it, another one pops up.
Anyway, that card I won never arrived… And because I slightly surpassed the 45 days refund period and the seller didn’t respond to any messages, I lost my money… Of course, that other card that was available was sold in the mean time.
Fast forward about halve a year, to about a month ago. Another one popped up, which I BIN-ed right away. Three weeks went by, and it didn’t arrive yet. So I contacted the seller, and I got a refund.
So I already bought it twice, and twice it got lost in the mail (by different sellers), and now I’m still missing it in my Pikachu collection… This card is cursed for me, I’m telling ya…

Team Rocket Dark Raichu, not much of a “secret rare” when i manage to get more of him from sealed packs than any other holo in the set.
