I always thought Electivire was an awesome Pokemon and this artwork by Megumi Higuchi does a fantastic job of showing why. It’s a shame she hasn’t contributed new artwork since Paldea Evolved because I really love her art style.

Today I decided this one may go. I am sure I also have a “sealed” on (in a kind of envelope)
Don’t remember how I managed to get them back in the days. Because if I’m correct these were not distributed in Europe.

Hataya is another artist whose work I really enjoy and sadly is no longer getting printed on cards. They featured 9 times between this Klang in Brilliant Stars and Zacian in Crown Zenith, and produced some of the most emotive work the TCG has seen. I always wonder why artists stop working with Pokemon, is it to do with money or do they find it hard to work within the creative constraints?
On a different note I still really enjoy the SwSh reverse holo pattern and I adore the yellow borders more than ever. This particular card has been in a casual deck since 2021 and I always love drawing it whenever I play.

hard agree Pokemon Company needs to get Hataya to draw more cards
the people who whined about yellow borders were wrong and morally reprobate scallywags who influenced pokemon company to change it to gray. Took the soul away from English/international cards in my opinion. I miss it every day. Glad you appreciate the rev holo. Most don’t. Anything with the energy symbol is fun for me, so I’m okay with it.

Imo gray was the right decision. made the arts look more natural. the yellow really took away from the art and was just really distracting. I cant see why anyone liked it other than for nostalgia reasons

Today I went through a pile of old cards. My neighbour kid told me he was going to do a pokedex and I asked him for the list of cards he needed.
I got him 30 cards he needed and found these in the pile.
At the moment I saw them I got a “learning” moment. These have to be in my own pokedex binder.
Not sure if I will move all cards to start with these. Most likely I will end with them.

Good idea. Most of the time when I start a new binder i leave the first page empty for stuff like this. But I’m not sure about my pokedex right now.
Found this card interesting back in the day, of ALL 'mon, a Dugtrio. There has to be a back story of some sorts to this.
today I thought I might share my beautiful old cert friend, I collected them at a very busy time and they were and are a little moment of peace

Short story time:
At the LCS, guy gets his TAG sub. Tons of 10s on the goodn’s, then this 7.5. I said from the side as I stood and watched, "I love that art, so cool, and that artist is aweso- “you can have it”.
After many thank yous I went to the counter, got a sharpie, and had him sign the case. What his name is, is a mystery. So freaking cool the people you can meet and the interactions you can have when you simply just interact. New card I will always appreciate now, even more!
