What bugs you the most in PSA 8/9 grades?

I suppose the biggest turnoffs in 8 and 9 grades is that they aren’t 10s

I don’t buy a lot of PSA cards (none to be honest, unless it’s a Pikachu I can’t find ungraded), or my PSA-10 Moltres and Team Rocket FA promos. But from the things you’ve named I would hate it to have a PSA-8/9 with 40/60 centering. Whitening on the back or silvering doesn’t bother me that much (if it’s limited), and holo scratches and print lins doesn’t bother me that much either (unless it’s very noticeable right away).

Give me a nice clean looking reasonably centered front from arms length away under standard household lighting and I’m happy. Nothing on the back bothers me as I never look at the backs when I am admiring my collection.

I don’t have the best vision anyways so my 9’s and even some 8’s all look as beautiful as anyone else’s 10’s to me.

For me the front side matters the most. Holo scratches is probably top of my list for PSA 8/9 cards because those are user marks and not manufacture issues.

Dents! Like someone’s little brother tryed to bite through the card. That’s what gets me fired up I can handle a little whitening on the edges. But if the card has a dent it shouldn’t be higher than a PSA 6.
