Well, I wasnāt here early 2022 to post my goals but I hit 4/5 of them!
-Make 1 submission to CGC (my first ever to them)
-Obtain PSA 9 Neo 3 Ho-oh holo
-Obtain G/S/C Japanese CIB
-Expand my Kimura binder collection
I also was able to open 5 booster boxes this year which is was more than Iāve ever opened! (4 PokĆ©mon/1 Yu-gi-oh) also got destroyed on pulls with those haha. (I canāt stand opening modern product)
But I had fun doing it so thatās all that counts in the end!
But for 2023, my goals are the following:
-Complete my Karen binder and obtain a graded copy of each Karen appearance card
(have a few already so should be obtainable)
-Obtain my Kimura Grail, a PSA Japanese Crystal Lugia!
(Really want to trade for this one, got a Complete PSA 9 Japanese Neo Genesis holo set iām willing to trade it for) FYI everyone haha
-Make another CGC/PSA submission
-Open a VSTAR Universe box
-Get to 75% of my Kimura binder completed
I may edit this later but this is mostly what Iād like to accomplish.

Iām 33% through the PSA 9 ex set and may 85% done a Himeno binder. These were both like sidequests I had going. I can probably try to finally complete the Himeno binder in 2023 though

Depressing to read the goals I set here: What are your 2022 Pokemon collecting goals? - #43 by pokemon_matt and it seems cards took a back seat for the majority of the year, but did cross off a couple:
Pre-Sun & Moon master set completion, which I need:
- Worlds 2004 Staff - havenāt got this yet
* Evolutions Double Colorless energy International (Europe) Staff PSA 10 acquired!
Then Iāll also aim for:
- Sun & Moon master set completion -
451 to go 399 to go
- Sworld & Shield 90% master set completion (including the sets that will be released) - practically no progress here
Side quests:
- Fossil 2000 rares -
9 to go 7 to go
- Trainer Deck A & B - didnāt get them
Based on the poor performance above, Iāll be a bit more modest this year:
- Pre-Sun & Moon master set completion - only Worlds 2004 Staff left
- Sun & Moon master set completion - 399 to go

Would love to see the e4 ex trash thread. If we really do have a monopoly weād get to see so many great cards(That should be avoided of course)
Yeah there is no way e4 could buy all the 9s amd 10s of ex lol. Its funny though like 90% of the time some big ex grail is bought i usually see the buyer on e4 or maybe on ig so we may be early adopters here, or blinded by the dumpster
Yeah, definitely canāt deny e4 has plenty of people deep into ex!

My actual goals for this year will be (I guess along with getting my 2020 sub back):
Organically finish Base Set 2 and unlimited Team Rocket sets to have unlimited Base through TR completed.
When I say organically complete, I try to only obtain the cards through trades, finding them at local stores, fb marketplace, buying random large lots on ebay, etc. I could easily go to TCGPlayer or TnT and buy them individually, but thatās no fun!
I did complete one of my sports card goals for 2022, obtaining a Joe Burrow rookie auto to complete my /49 numbered set for LSU players. Now I need to complete my 2021 set, and Jaāmarr Chase is the last one I need. Unfortunately, this was only a redemption, so itāll be tough to come by

I picked up some graded Marills this year but looking to sell them again as I think I just prefer my binder bits!
Maybe start collecting JP + Eng Dennede cards as heās pretty neat

Oof havenāt been looking forward to this thread 
Hereās my goal from last year, sadly I did not accomplish this goal this year. However, I have substantially grown my collection and expanded/refined my overall goals in different ways. I also got a new job and will have the funds to reach for some of my goals next year.
So for 2023, Iāll be rolling over my goal from 2022 and adding the next big card I want to purchase:
- Espeon * (plan to attend card shows early 2023, probably targeting a PSA 7-8 copy)
- PGC 25th Anniversary/Creatures deck card
Need to do some research on prices and specific cards to decide what I want for #2 but as a former player I may appreciate lesser loved cards from the deck like Uxie or the Energy cards. I love the backs on these cards and just the idea of what these cards are tbh.

Iāll be doing my best to keep up with full art trainers and trying to get the last one I need (Extra Battle Day Lillie)! Might sell or give away some more stock I have too, trying to limit myself to just the one collection but still have random stuff floating around in binders and boxes.

Luckily for me, I have just as many action items as purchases on my goals list for 2023. They include:
- Regrade my Wata Blue Version with VGA to match the rest of my collection
- Gather ~15 more candidates and send a submission to CGC
- Gather ~25 more candidates and send a submission to PSA
- MAYBE attend an event? The chaos that was Baltimore Regionals was my first Pokemon event and it really left a bad taste in my mouth. Iāll likely not even bother with this unless attending is extremely convenient for me.
Unluckily for me, the few purchases on my list for 2023 are rather pricey:
- Finish CGC 1st Ed Base holos (need Zard, Gyarados, and Venusaur)
- Pickup a Mysterious Pearl and/or Victory Ring and/or AA Meli Pika
- Pickup the remaining 3 Uniqlo Promo cards I still need (kind of a backburner goal)
