I have a feeling Iām going to be searching for a fan club Magikarp and Japanese gold star Umbreon for a long while. Also maybe inappropriate for the thread seeing as it probably doesnāt exist but I would love it so much if there was a prototype Japanese Shining Gyarados with the textured shining pattern like fan club karp and the neo 4 shinings. They should release that one asap!

When I graduate college I really hope people still will occasionally sell Skyridge boxes. One pops on on eBay once in a blue moon now but Iām not going into debt for it lol

i never thought of this, but now it will be in my wildest dreams. Thanks alot haha. And speaking of the fan club karp, do you check noppin much? I found one for around $250 that looked to be pretty mint, albeit for an indentation on the back, which im sure can be somewhat remedied by pressure.

like i said above, you go on noppin alot? They used to pop up somewhat frequently and have significantly died down, recently. But i found one for pretty cheap all considering just a few days ago. Just search ākoikingā, and stalk out new listings

Buyee is much better, but worse to navigate through. Not nearly as ergonomic. So just get an account on both and go to buyee through the original auction listing on noppin. The shipping and additional prices are cheaper. Plus, finding a 600pt Karp for that cheap aint gonna happen often. I see price fluctuation happen much more often on the japanese middleman sites, as compared to eBay. That might just be me, though
Considering Iām already at over 750 unique Pikachus, Iād say all the Pikachus Iām still missing are white whales (since I havenāt come across any for sale in more than 1.5 years of collecting)ā¦

Was it the one going for roughly 600 usd? I saw that one but Iām not risking it getting a poor grade as I donāt trust photos enough for a card of that price unless itās a trophy

no, its one that was just posted for 250$. Like i said, it only had a small indentation on the back thats visible at an angle under light. It can probably be mediated by pressure. From the rest of the pics, it looked mint. Im not going to grade, so a minty one for that cheap was a no brainer
Yeah, if you arenāt going to grade it then itās like an instant purchase but really that price is a steal no matter what
