first time lurker here 
joined because i got hooked to the prototype card thread and saw how cool and chill everyone is.
i like both modern and vintage pokemon stuff, not only cards but also obscure and weird things. my current objective is to complete a list of vintage holos i made out of all of ken sugimoriās artworks and iām happy to report that iām somewhere in the middle 
still long ways to go.
i enjoy other artists too but the bulk of my purchases is usually directed towards sugimori stuff.

Welcome @gyuu ! Iām very nostalgic for Sugimoriās artworks. I would love to see your collection posted sometime. It sounds like you are making great progress. Iām also very intrigued by the obscure and weird things you referenced. That could make a great collection thread Iām sure.

Thanks for the kind words @D3F14NC3 . Iāve been on/off collecting for a few years but never really sank my teeth into the world of collecting. My collection is currently pretty small as i gave a lot of it away to my nephew who recently fell in love with Pokemon. I have full sets of Darkness Ablaze [EN] and Dark Phantasma [JP] and around 20 random English & Japanese promo cards. My goal for 2025 to complete a full English/Japanese Vileplume set and continue collecting promo cards. What are you currently collecting? What is/are your favourite card(s) in your collection?

Nice. Iām looking forward to seeing your Vileplume collection come together. Iām collect vintage English cards and my favourite cards are promos. Iām working on my Base Set 1st Editions currently. Getting the big ones out of the was first.

Iām not sure my reasoning was/is the best but the games hit when I was in middle school and I started with Blue, and Sandshrew was one of the exclusives to that title. I eventually got Yellow as well (and much later Red) but Iāve always liked armadillo and ankylosaurus looking things!
Iām less sure about Wobbuffet. I watched the original animated series and Iām sure it showing up a Team Rocket minion was part of it but I just always though it was a cool looking one!
My heart lies with Gen I/Gen II and I played the heck out of Crystal. Iāve got the first 6 games with their boxes and paperwork because yay hoarder I recently replaced the batteries in the cartridges too and was super excited to discover that my Yellow save was still alive after all these years with the 150 dex completed.

And thatās awesome! I gave my original games away to a friend a while back and I wish I would have looked through the save files first! Crystal is definitely one of the best Pokemon games out there!

Technically, yes. An AI could be a person if it recognized its existence in some way - the short version. The long version, IDK if AI will get there, but not yet. 
Cognitive philosopher by degree. AI isnāt totally foreign to E4. Thereās a whole thread for that here too! Like I said, maybe too much info.

Welcome @Vileplume! Glad to have you here! One of my favorite Vileplume cards is the rainbow rare from Cosmic Eclipse. Normally Iām not super into that rarity type, but that particular card is a perfect fit for it!

Little bit about myself
- 35 atm EU based ( Belgium )
- Started collecting ever since base set & played competitive pokƩmon during my teens 13-16 ( expedition until ex fire red / leaf green ) - League / prereleases / nationals etc
- took pretty good care of all my cards ( especially reverses / holoās )
- got a pretty decent collection of vintage atm
- personal goal atm is to complete my Skyridge set as a masterset in psa 10 ( All holoās + crystals in psa 10 ) + reverses / boxtoppers / normals in nm-m. ( 90% completed )
- hope to see alot of vintage in here

Hey all, my nameās Nathan. Iām pretty new to the hobby, as I started collecting in college at the end of the Sword and Shield era. I kind of just collect things that I like and only a set here and there. Most of my collecting is English, although I think that someday Iāll dip my toes into the Japanese card world a little more. Iām US based and I hope to someday have a neat wall display in my studio of every English version of my favorite pokemon, Mantine.
