Hello,

I am very glad to have found this forum, I have been collecting pokemon cards for a few years now. I stop at the second generation as it was the one of my childhood.

Until now I have filled my vintage binder with:

-Base

-Jungle

-Fossil

-Rocket

-Gym

-Black star promos and some unumbered

-The 4 neo sets

Mixed english and italians

Right now I am focusing on the Japanese holo released exclusively for the neo sets, in the future there will be souther islands and vending machines. I’m leaving aquapolis & co alone because of a budget issue

Little tidbit, I have included in my binder the advertisements and Jason Klaczynski’s blog printed on paper

Thanks for tagging the forum @mrbubbles . I’m looking forward to getting to know you as well. In terms of what I’m looking to collect, I’m trying to pivot into rare items, such as prize cards or anything that’s limited in number. Aiming more towards rare one of ones, rather than expensive grails that come from boosters.
I think traveling will also let me showcase other people’s collections as well, and would love to hear the stories on what made others start collecting. Possibly I can come visit you too and we can talk Pokémon and have a good time haha

Hey All, new to the forum/discord! I recently started recollecting about 4 months ago and began with 151 shooting for a grand master set (ENG), which I have completed as of a few weeks ago! I don’t think I’ve collected since I was in elementary school but had some friends start up again and I joined in.

As far as my next venture, I’m a big Scyther fan and am working on collecting every Scyther tcg card in ENG/JAP. I also like collecting Pikachu promos but not aggressive on that front just here and there if it arises.

Can’t wait to meet some new people! Cheers!

Sounds like you picked a great set to collect upon re-joining the hobby. Scyther is also a great Pokemon to collect; I think you may find some of @nickofturl’s collection interesting as he is also a Scyther collector!

Welcome to the fourum! Also congrats on your 151 master set. By that do you mean normal and rev holo of each card? I’m not sure if “grand master” is a descriptor or a full phrase.

Welcome, @tomdgtl! I totally get being drawn back in by 151! I don’t generally try to master sets, but that one was too good to ignore! And Scyther is an awesome Pokemon! Do you have a favorite artwork?
