I think it’s a bit of a misconception that Japan is just this oasis of Pokemon cards at 40% market price, just waiting for a white guy full of chicken katsu to come along and find the steal of a lifetime. There’s definitely still neat stuff to find, but they aren’t stupid. Everything is priced accordingly.

What I gathered from my few weeks there is that it’s basically like buying off YJ, with the bonus of not being hit by fees, and you get to inspect condition yourself. There definitely aren’t $100 ex series boxes and whatnot just laying around everywhere.

yeah but dude gold star mews go for like 50 bucks, and charizard like 70 and on yahoo they go for like 300. So you can get alot luckier if you hang in japan, secondly… No rarities… People come in to sell them, and if you live there you can go scoopt them up… I bet you thats what syju17 is doing. He probably has 10 venusaurs, and is gonna up the pop and slowly sell them in psa 10, all the while whilst having charizards and blastoise hidden prepared and ready for when venusaur starts dropping at auction. Then his gonna freaking unleash charizard and blastoise on our asses. xD

Hill probably unleash 1 charizard and 1 blastoise at some point in between.

Oh I know! I didn’t mean for it to sound that way. I meant that these seems to be the mentality of people who have never made any effort to know any better. Seeking someone who knows how to find the rare stuff like you’re doing is the way to go
