I have recently stumbled across the attached sticker card. I am fascinated by it and am trying to uncover its place in history.
As far as I can tell, it was printed in 1999-2000 in Taiwan, by a company called Yocheer/Yucheer/U-cheer, and then shipped to South American companies to circumvent copyright registration restrictions at the time. this print run lasted rather short, as global restrictions tightened.
any verified additional information is appreciated, I hope to learn much more
I filmed this video to showcase two sets of stickers, that arrived from the same distribution source in Argentina, being compared.
One that bears copyrighting and one that does not. Both set of stickers are composed of the exact same set of materials, as confirmed by my peel and feel test.
At the very least, I would conclude that these were not printed as “cheap knockoffs,” but intended to be their own line of product.
