Emerald all day, they are not present in the poll but I’m also a big fan of Mystery Dungeon spin-off.

Emerald and Platinum over the rest for me! Just fantastic games. FR/LG and BW/BW2 are right there with them though.
HG/SS for me. Although Emerald is just barely behind it.

I voted for Ruby, Sapphire Emerald. But I’m surprised it topped off the list. I could speculate forever why. I would’ve thought GSC dominate the chart. Is it because we appreciate the additional Pokemon we are familiar with? Did Gen III and Gen IV have optimal complexity and challenge with 350-450 Pokemon? I feel like with 450 I can be familiar with them all but still have a challenge with learning new things.

Its good to be old enough so I have expirienced every game when they came out at the time. Some games just were more awesome than others.

I am 30 and from a nostalgia/emotional connection standpoint, Gold is my favorite, but from a purely fun/game standpoint, I have to say Emerald. No question. I played from Red/Blue-FRLG as they came out, I have a lot of love for the first 3 gens but they all mean something different to me in special ways.
