So I was going through some of my fossil booster packs the other day and I noticed a variation on the little claw (fossil set logo) that’s right below the trading card game text.
This long pack has a “outlineless” set symbol:
This long pack has a the palm and claw tips “outlined” in black:
And this long pack has top portion of the palm and a portion of the top claw tip outlined in black:
I have all three artworks in long pack and they all have variations of these three different outline and non outlined variations.
I checked my short pack booster packs (of all artworks), not every single one I own but quite a few, and of the ones I looked at none of them had any outlining going on:
I’m curious if there is short pack booster packs with either of the outline variants on them…
Has anyone ever noticed these variations before? Is this random print run differences? Anyone have any idea what it may be? I haven’t ever seen any videos of anyone discussing this nor have I seen any threads about it on here eaither. If there is a thread on here about it, could someone point me to it?
I don’t have anything to add to your questions I’m afraid. I don’t collect sealed packs and only own one, which coincidentally enough is a fourth variant of the unlimited edition Fossil packs missing from your post, so I’m just gonna post it here to at least contribute something.
Thanks to your questions I’ve taken a look at my Red Logo Fossil pack below, and noticed the Fossil logo is dark brown, instead of the lighter brown you have with your three packs. I don’t see any black outlines, though.
PS/off-topic: why is there an asterisk behind the ™ at the Pokémon logo?
Can you post all the pics you have front and back of all 3 art works with variants please? that 3rd pic has the finger going into the word unlike the other packs. Its very interesting maybe there is other differences on the packs. Im currently putting together a complete list of all packs and variants so might need to add this to list.
