Probably going to be a bit controversial but I’ve never really been drawn to that many trophy cards. A fair amount of the ones on this list feel very low effort (e.g. Kangaskhan and SSB Mewtwo) or they’re things which aren’t very Pokémon-like (e.g. Master’s Key and Wonder Platinum).

I can see this, but the holos on these cards are just absolutely beautiful. Don’t do the cards justice on still scans.

Also, why was Exeggutor so popular on trophy cards so early on?

I get that, just weird that they chose that Pokemon as the focal point of the early trophies considering there are some popular tropical Pokes in Gen 1
