Trolling scammers?

Found a scammer from China who was sending me stolen pictures of a latias gold star, and then his own photos of some poorly made fakes. Long story short I decided to make him send me a picture of the card next to a piece of fruit and he’s committed to doing it tomorrow! I’ve done this kind of thing a few times, it’s quite satisfying to send scammers on arduous and pointless errands so I figured we could make a thread about trolling scammers? Here’s the conversation, reads from bottom to top, some messages have pictures that aren’t shown. Fruit pics forthcoming.

LOL. After making him jump through all the hoops tell him you’ll take them all as long as he ships first.

Ask for a specific fruit so he has to go buy one like a grapefruit

Hahaha, I actually did that to the last guy(on craigslist) with a banana, first asked for pics of the card with my phone number and he did a shitty photoshop/MSpaint job with it, so then I asked for a pic with a banana to see if he’d even try, said he was gonna but eventually just got pissed off and gave up :slightly_frowning_face:

The fruit of my labor. I followed it up asking for a picture of the real one next to a grapefruit, but I don’t expect much to come of that.

Instead of complaining about the cards, you should instead complain about the fruit. Deny that it’s a grapefruit and that it looks more like an orange. Get all pissed off about that and retract from the deal because of the fruit.

“You call that shit gem ripe!!! It’s covered with brown speckles! I’d say it’s lightly bruised at best… I’m looking for a market fresh copy.”

Now ask him to take a picture of the piece of fruit next to another piece of fruit.
