Noticed Troll and Toad listed a bunch of PSA graded cards today. I know they have had PSA cards for sale on eBay before but not a ton. Always thought maybe it was cards they purchased from someone or selling for someone else like a consignment type deal. Are they now sending in card to be graded? If so how will this effect buying old WOTC raw cards from them? Should I just expect PSA 7 quality or lower now? I know typically the condition would be 7-9 range but it was nice getting some random cards from them that were PSA 9 quality, or the extremely rare PSA 10 quality card.
If so, I’m surprised they waited so long.
They are terrible at listing multiple 10s of the same card … (psa 10 shining ray) -.-
Well, just like that, buying gradable cards from TNT turned from improbable to impossible.
Tnt could make buttloads grading with the amount of stock they have
I definitely agree from a business standpoint I’m not sure why they didn’t start awhile ago. Just as a consumer it kind of sucks. Didn’t look at all of the cards they listed but prices seem a little high.
Ive had a tiny bit of luck, but now it seems unlikely that I will test those waters again unless I want a NM 7 at best for the binder.
They’ve been doing this for at least a year now, from my recollection. I still get some decent condition cards from them; they don’t always choose to grade. I don’t know what exactly makes them choose to grade or not grade a card, but it does make sense in a financial standpoint to grade old school cards that look like PSA 9-10.
When I buy NM from them I usually get anywhere between PSA 6-10 quality tbh. Most of their cards are like PSA 9+ price anyways
Checked with Troll and Toad and they said they did not send the cards in, someone sent them the cards already graded.
Its not just Pokemon, there’s also a ton of Yugioh cards, mainly the Lost Art promotion (LART-EN). There’s a couple PSA 10 Exodia pieces but Monster Reborn is still POP 0 =(
That’s a merchant seller though (Paradise games right?) There are times when troll and toad themselves sell the card, but there are always plenty of merchant sellers selling their own cards! Just letting you know because sometimes merchant seller prices are inconsistent (like they would sell a PSA 8 more than a troll and toad’s psa 9 of the same card).
