With Toys R Us almost completely out of business do you see the value of all the promo cards going up anytime soon ?
Can you think of a reason why Toys R Us promos will become more desirable when the stores close?
the closing of the store does not inherently change anything about those released/printed cards. now if toys r us releases some cards NEXT year, I think that might have some interesting value…
English Promotional cards outside of prize/TCG event participation cards are mass produced and distributed. This is because they’re meant to be easily accessible for children and will probably never have a significant increase in value.
Toys r us is live and well over here in Canada.
I thought of this a month or two back once the closure started to hit. I know that the Geoffrey plushes almost doubled in price since the closure. They were $15-ish and now float closer to $25 with a few sellers under that. Too many people bought the entire stock when they were selling for $5-7 each so they’ll stick around for a long time.
