I don’t follow. There was a blue label 9.5. When the system changed it was recoded as gem mint 10 in the pop report. Then this card was sent back in for label change (I know this for a fact from WeChat). So it’s still listed as gem mint 10.
There was a corocoro winner for sale for 2k? Any more of those pop up DM me
That is being auctioned on the 24th. Will let you know results but typically these super rare cards go for a premium haha
Where I’m getting lost is CGC’s pop report says there’s one CGC 10.
But from what I understand there is a CGC 10 (new label) and a CGC 9.5 (old label) that exists. Both should now be a CGC 10 in the pop report.
Oh, I see what you mean. The blue label should be deactivated.
It must be a different one than sold by Heritage. I know the owner and he hasn’t gotten a new label.
No kidding! My mistake then
Very cool - great to see these! Keep them coming! Interesting to see the Gengar is 2k more than PWCC last sold the other day.
I’m not positive but I think Gengar always fetches a premium over here as he is one of the favorite pokemon. As eBay isn’t an option, there’s other apps that have buy now options for cards and not a single Gengar (above $500) is priced anyway near last sales or what is supposedly “market value”. A lot are listed for double with the sellers not entertaining offers
Only one $5k+ sale yesterday but figure I’ll add anything over $2k when there’s less high end stuff sold or maybe just top 3 sales each day. Let me know if there’s a preference or starting price point that interests you
#1 Gengar Mysterious Mountains $1950
#2 Vaporeon 10,000 points $2960
#3 Lugia Wind from the Sea $7100
Another semi quiet one from Pokecolor. Only one sale broke the $2k mark so will just do a top 3
#1 2004 Treeko gold star $2015
#2 2019 Pikachu master battle set $945
#3 2001 Charizard expedition 1st ed $835
These are very interesting insights! Thanks for the thread !
My pleasure. Glad to be adding some level of value to others on here
Broke the initial $5k threshold today with a decent number of sales in the $2-5k range. Will post all.
I probably should number them 1-x in order of value but an improvement for another day.
#1 Luigi Pikachu $3067
#2 Torchic gold star $4221
#3 Mario Pikachu $5657
#4 Charizard base Arita $1956
#5 2010 Illusions Zoroark Corocoro winner $5488
#6 Fan club Shining Magikarp $3053
Have to assume that, like me, many people aren’t versed in the authenticity of autographs and blindly trust PSA to do the dd.
Personally won’t be looking for any autos to add to the collection as it just seems like a sus little sub category.
Yeah, it’s really on PSA. But I’d also hope if someone is spending $2k on an autograph that they do some minimal amount of making sure it looks ok.
Looks to me like chinese seem to be digging japanese vintage over english. I keep hearing on here and reddit that it has no room to grow and will never catch up.
Considering chinese are 1.4b and jp modern is already priced higher than english, i dont see why vintage wont have its shine over time.
Does anyone know the holo pullrate of jp e series? Im certain it isnt like neo a garantueed pull, seing lugia jp neo at 700$ psa 10 vs lugia jp wind from the sea psa 10 at 7k$, it surely cant be the same
I think it has something to do with the fact the rich over here are ridiculously rich and chase the trophy cards which from my understanding there’s a lot more Japanese than English. That has maybe trickled down to the lower tier collectors. I’m yet to see a high end English card be auctioned on Pokecolor. It’s also rare to see many Chinese cards in one lot.
Also maybe ease of which to buy. Most modern Japanese boxes are available over here at near or the same price they get released in Japan.
There is some apps where it’s flooded with Japanese cards from all eras but finding any vintage English stuff is very tough, let alone finding things that are graded. Modern English does seem more readily available, which may coincide with Chinese Pokemon being a thing again so there’s more people interested in collecting a range of languages.
