Just noticed that there are a lot of cgc 10 1st edition base holos on the weekly auction which took my interest. I inspected every one of them and it is really bad. Im a little shocked how bad most of these 10’s look.

In my opinion this is going to hurt the reputation of cgc.

If you’re talking about the white marks on the backs, it could be stuff external on the slab surface. I had an auction item I won not too long ago that had a big white mark on the back top left area. I contacted pwcc and they confirmed it was on the slab. After making an edit request on the item in my vault, they wiped it off, took new scans, and uploaded to their site.

Everything you are seeing is from the way cgc packs the slabs. Every slab I’ve ever received has been full of those little pieces of paper on the outside

There is some whitening on the edges but not terrible. Probably within 10 range if grader is feeling nice

I cant justify spending so much on a card when im not sure if it is damage or just dust. To me they look like damaged cards.

I can’t say that I’m too shocked. Some were probably cracked PSA 9s sent to CGC to get the 9.5 grade, and are now upgraded to 10. Yet, they will almost assuredly end at higher than PSA 9 prices.

Bingo! Every CGC 10 that is not Pristine, was a PSA 9 in it’s former life that was crossed to CGC 9.5 (the same way people cross PSA 9 to BGS 9.5), then the owner took advantage of CGC changing their grading scale and reholdered it to a CGC 10.

Every is a bit much. Also cgc never did hand out the 9.5 that easily.

Has anyone tried submitting cards to PWCC today? When I select Submit on the form the loading wheel scrolls forever and never submits. I can’t get it to work in two different browsers. Anyone experienced this?

Their grading scale has differed so much since their inception. I received 8’s on my initial submission that looked much better than that 10.

Does anyone know current processing estimates for sending things to vault to being curated
