The Pokemon Graded Card Market Feels Weird Right Now

There has been a ton of discourse online about how it is one of peoples favorite SV era cards, hell its even been turned into a meme.

Your making an assumption that the people buying on ebay are experienced. A lot are not and you can tell from biding behaviors and account age.

Some auctions with shills are less obvious, those are the ones that look more like bidding wars. Also 5,000 username ban WTF! That seller has to be a bad Ebayer to have that many problems.

There’s a lot of weirdness with uncommon cards; I don’t trust anything on ebay right now.

ZnGEmporium is not a bad eBayer. They consign cards for a living, and have listed 150,000+ auctions/BINs. When you run that many auctions, you deal with thousands of horrible buyers and shill bidders. It’s no surprise to me that they have 5,000 banned users.

Before you make assumptions about a seller, you should at least familiarize yourself with their business and practices.

When I say bad ebayer I mean using ebay in a way which exposes you to excessive risk. I was unaware what they were but they are a high volume professional business which in my mind is an atypical seller and would see problems. I put no judgment on that side of ebay but I would think they would be offered special seller tools and more help.
