Since I don’t have experience with low-pop cards like these, would it be worth any premium?
Actually none on that card:(
In the future, how would I determine if a lowpop card is worth a premium or not?
Thanks!
Most set holos are extra desirable if low pop but that doesn’t extend to .5s
Low population means nothing when there are many cards that are graded higher than the low population example, population comes into the equation when it is a high quality example of the card in question, low population and high grade is what you want, low population and low grade usually means you just have a damaged card lol (may not apply to cards with extremely limited print numbers)
The only time you may fetch a premium for a “low pop” of an undesirable/low grade is when it is on a premier card like the base set charizard or something. It would only have appeal to the absolute smallest subset of buyers who are going after not only a PSA 1-10 set, but a set including all half grades as well. I haven’t heard of anyone doing this, but they could be out there. Even in that random case you would only expect to get a bit more than the card should be worth at that grade.
“Pop 1” really is only meant to apply to the PSA 10 grade. Even then if it is an obscure card that is pop 1 only because 1 or 2 have been graded then it isn’t too big of a deal anyways. I could get 50 pop 1’s in my next submission if I took the time to go through my bulk and send in only random C/U that nobody else has ever submitted.
