I did a one card Super Express last week and it was done in 3 business days, but of course as usual YMMV. Good luck!
Correct me if Iām wrong, but the old CGC memberships had a discount percent off your submission.
I believe it was 5, 10, and 15% off. Now, only the elite membership gives a discount and itās
capped at 10%.
That is correct, no longer any submission discounts for new subscriptions except for at the highest tier, and that was reduced from 15% to 10%.
I believe all benefits for current memberships will be retained until they are up for renewal or expire.
Same for me - 3 business days on a 1 card super express sub.
Does anybody know if PSA does grading on PKMN cards at shows and conventions?
Assuming it happens, I was thinking about going to the Nationals Sports convention in Chicago this summer in order to get stuff graded irl. Sending stuff off in bulk never sat well with me; I donāt trust my local postal carriers in the slightest.

They might restart next year. Itās going to be minimum $200 per card tho

Is that the standard price for show floor grading? Seems ridiculous.
AI will end mail-in grading altogether.
If Genamint can ID & grade a card, then we can just keep our cards un-encapsulated. When youāre going to sell or trade your card online, ID it with AI, have it assess the grade and then when the seller gets it in the mail, they make sure the ID, grade & sub-grades match up. If you want it encapsulated just put it in a top loader or mag/screw case. Iād much rather have a collection without seeing a graded label ever again. If you want to see the grades, just open the app on your phone and use augmented reality to have the grade show up on top of your preferred method of storage (top loader, mag case, binder sleeve, etc).
Weāre going to be laughing at how we used to keep our cards trapped in sonic welded plastic slabs.
this is a pretty extreme hypothesis. If this ever happens - donāt expect to see this in your lifetime. Too much money is invested in the old model for people to fully allow this

It wouldnt make sense to have it at regular pricing, or you would have people turn up with 1000ās of cards to bypass the queue.
I know CGC does have price rises for conventions, but CGC only slab auto verify at cons so its well worth it

Frankly, Iām not even sure what Iām supposed to do at this point, because Iām definitely not spending 200 a card.
Iāve got so many mint raws, and I want them all graded, but with the PSA suspension among other things, Iām not sure Iāll ever be able to.

Just wait two years. If you want them to keep, prices on grading will eventually fall.

Get in line just like everyone else who is waiting then if/when they reopen July 1st?

Just wait 2 months and submit for the $20/card before they increase prices again
Everyone else is waiting⦠I believe in you ![]()

Thanksā¦I fully admit I am horribly impatient a lot of the time, and my absolute fear of my cards getting lost in the mail has held me back from submitting before, but I guess thatāll really be my only option.
Maybe itāll eventually be viable to send in a couple at a time, rather than massive bulk, but who knows..would certainly alleviate the anxiety I have about shipping my stuff off.

Not sure what the prices are now but they do. In the before time, in the long long ago I would drop off my higher end cards at a psa stand at a sports convention near me every year.
Stay in touch with Charlie at Ludkins. Heāll keep you in the loop.

I sent a package to PSA through USPS that got lost in the mail for a few days. It eventually got there but it was a harrowing experience. Iām going to try to avoid USPS for expensive packages when Iām sending again.
Personally Iād suggest asking FedEx and UPS about insurance options, so you at least have some amount of recourse if thereās an issue. Iād avoid USPS or at least purchase insurance up to the value of your package.
I believe you can even submit some things in person at PSA, though it may only apply to the highest tiers. Hopefully someone else here can address this.
Just shot a card to BGS via their Express tier. I know the site says 15+ days, has anyone here recently used this tier and if so what was the turnaround like?

Their premium service was around 15 days so id expect express to be around 30
My PSA sub from November has been rolling this month. Went from no update at all to now in grading
Edit: I donāt know how autographed subs move compared to normal subs though
