BGS has removed the discounts coming from multi card subs. Their prices arent horrible at low tiers but what do yal think should I wait for the 50+ discount to return? Its all personal collection stuff so time isnt really a huge deal.

PSA and BGS have never lowered a price ever except for promos so I dont expect much drastic

Am I missing something? On the PSA website it says the quarterly special complete through date is 12-July-2020 and my order was registered on 6-July-2020. Wouldn’t that indicate that the order should be complete then? Or are we using the complete-through date as a ball park figure?

For those that have graded with CGC personally (not through a middleman), when inputting the value of a card, do you do its current raw value or possible graded value? I assume it’s raw value since I have no way of knowing the exact grade the card will get

I do raw

Did you send through Ludkins? my understanding is the the dealers’ submissions don’t align with complete-through dates (for whatever reason). But I still have not heard confirmation either way from Ludkins about this, so I don’t know for sure

I did, so I’m guess that might be the reason. I admit I don’t understand how it being a dealer submission would affect things that much. From my perspective, PSA shouldn’t be taking any time or effort to notate which packages from from dealers and which ones don’t. If the dealer submissions are somehow not getting completed and are exempt from the complete-through date then that’s just a whole other level of bullshit from PSA

PSA is now grading foreign modern pokemon and smaller games such as Weiss if anyone is curious.

Fair enough.

Hi everyone. I recently got this card, it has some sort of bends? Creases? Something of that nature in the bottom. I was wondering if this was enough for it to be an auto 6 at PSA, as it’s structurally compromised but no indents or creases (like, the actual line that forms when something is bent) are present. Thanks a lot!

@chun Yes, PSA does grade foreign cards after the DP era now. I recently spoke to a PSA employee who confirmed that. Here I quote the conversation I had with that employee.

But I would advice to contact PSA themselves through their new contact form on their website first to verify they indeed grade the Chinese cards you want to send in. Especially since it would be a waste of money and time if it turned out to be false for the specific cards you want to send in, considering grading with PSA takes roughly 6-8 months right now for standard bulk submissions.

That’s great news! sub, do you know if they’ll start grading 2006 Chinese legend maker anytime soon?

@nelson, those look like micro creases. Expect a 5 or 6 from PSA on that, since there is more than one the 5 is possible, even though the rest of the card looks clean.

Also, I hope that isn’t the Umbreon you just picked up :slightly_frowning_face:

Does anyone know the turnaround time for PSA reholder service? And does the service tier matter ($10 vs. $50 vs. more expensive reholder service)?

I agree, looks like water/stress to the card

I got a shining mew that doesn’t have any noticeable flaws at a first glance. Would that dent on the right seen from the back side gives it an automated 6? Thank you. link

Thanks for the input! Thankfully it’s not umbreon or chikorita, but the holo energy that came in the lot with them. Not ideal but still a good binder copy.

PSA grades sports postcards, any chance they’ll ever grade vintage Pokemon postcards?

Hi all,

I am a new member to this site.
I’m hoping i can get some help with questions I have concerning the 1000 or so Pokemon 1999 1st edition cards i just found in a box.
The cards are in very good to excellent condition.
I pulled out about 50 cards that i researched are the most valuable. ( i looked on ebay and on the PSA grading list).
My questions are basic:

  1. Is it worth the time and money to send the most valuable cards to PSA ( or another company? ) to get graded?
  2. What is the best way to sell the cards?

I’m lost and need direction on what I should do with the Higher valued cards and the rest of the 1000 cards.
I have multiple copies of most cards. For example - I have a Pikachu/yellow checks/58/102 ( 4 copies ). I have a Machamp / 8/102 still in original plastic wrap…

Can anyone give me advise on what they would do or what is the best way to sell the cards and get top dollar.

Thank you for your help and time.

Example of cards:

That pikachu is not 1st edition, so not worth much. That 1st ed machamp (with shadow) is worth probably $1.5k if it grades a 10. Sealed copies go for about $200 on eBay these days. Hope that helps!
