The backlog is down to 12 million. Congrats everyone!
Must be overtime and weekends kicking in.
People who say slabs will go up in value because the “pipeline is closed” are missing a key point - the output isn’t shut off and in fact is increasing. Might lead to a gradual cool down
i just did a week ago and its in grading already
A value plus sub with expected TAT of july 16 completed early. All modern of which i expected pretty much all 10’s as there was no flaws i could see. Well it got all 9’s.
But one thing I wanted to note was the package is being shipped from Boca Raton Florida PSA, and not new jersey or LA like all my other subs
I know I sound like a conspiracy theorist but Florida is the facility I had all my worst submission at back in late 2025/early 2026.
Like inexplicably bad results.
Well it looks like that conspiracy is turning out to be correct!
Entire submission was all 9. No 7, 8 ,10, random 6. Guy saw one card and goes lets slap them all with 9. Explains why it was completed two weeks early since it was speed graded while other submissions are behind completion date by a month.
What high powered lamps do folks use? I’ve been getting by w my ikea desk lamp and I find myself staining
The ol’ SGC grading facility
Hey guys. Is this card within 55-45 centering? It’s not mine and I’m not a prospective buyer, but I’m sorting through my JP DP cards that can get 10s and I’m only eyeballing it but I assumed cards like this were outside the parameter.
Looks good to me. With how fast PSA looks at the centering idk if they’re gonna take the ruler out for every card, and it passes my immediate eye appeal test. Me oiballs say it looks good.
I always had a theory they could be a bit more lenient or carefree when the border colour matches the textbox colour too
“May have had its condition altered due to external factors while still in its holder”
That worries me a bit - could be due to humidity perhaps?
I think this is how PSA will get around payouts for cards that have been altered, but pased grading/authentication, and that fall apart in their slabs eg. the ex ray that was altered and started warping/peeling inside the slab.
I’ve been seeing some PSA returns comparing pre-scan photos to obvious damage while at PSA and it’s pretty scary to think about.
I can’t imagine what the enviornment it like there. Likely not shooting the shit about weekend plans/activities very often.
Oh I think PSA were referncing that the card itself was damaged whilst in posession of the owner - and then psa wouldnt swap the label and would want to crack/regrade.
Just got my grades a bit ago from PSA and this has been the most underwhelming set of offers I’ve received since they have started this program. Most of them no better than 70% of market on PSA 10s. Usually I’m getting between 80-90% offers for similar cards.
Every time something is posted about the PSA backlog, the comments are filled with sports guys upset about Pokémon. Do they not realize Pokémon is way cooler??
To be fair, if I was a sports collector, I’d also be upset that the Professional Sports Authenticator was backlogged by drawings of dragons and electric mice
Ha good point with the actual name of the company.
At the end of the day though they can’t be mad at the poke nerds for all the submission. Be upset with the forecasting and staffing team at PSA that dropped the baseball in the first place
Professional Pokémon Authenticator not rolling off the tongue
