The Giant Professional Grading Thread

PSA had a weird order for me last week. My credit card got charged after completion, offers were available for just a few hours, then suddenly the offers went away and tracking number uploaded. Usually it take 24-36 hours for the offers to go away

The ‘paragraphs written’ to ‘cards submitted’ ratio of the loud, diehard TAG fans is off the charts

This should have more likes than it does now.

Finally sent cards to grading! About 6 cards are being graded: 5 to PSA and 1 to BGS
using Fanatics.

What’s the turnaround time for PSA Fanatics and BGS fanatics again?

The same as it is as sending direct + shipping and handling time

Interview with President of Grading at Collectors(PSA)

Some highlights:

  • With Collectors acquiring Bgs, bgs+ sgc will have same flow post grading
    • Example: Grades pop at bgs, you choose to send to Psa Vault, Sell on ebay, Ship home.
  • Psa will be updating BGS slab labels(no major changes, mostly visual)
  • Bgs will have pre and post grading image scans just like psa.
  • anti fraud stuff shared amongst all grading companies
  • Separate mailing address to send in cracked psa/bgs/sgc labels to reduce population bloat of cracked slabs
  • Frankfurt Germany psa grading center for EU people opening between august-december 2026(couple hundred employees)
    • Vintage or grading requiring an expert will still flow to US grading centers
  • Hong kong receiving center for asia opened up
  • 100k cards graded per day.
  • value plus and above have improved receiving times, but bulk is 30day expected from package received to order processed. 95 day total TAT
  • upgrading set registry

Has anyone graded jumbo cards with PSA? Do you have to submit them in sleeves and card savers as well or can i just send it in a stack? I have about 40 from a variety of sets I’d like to get graded as they are in decent NM condition.

However I’ve only ever graded normal cards by the thousands, and this is my first jumbo submission so not sure what to expect

I have always sleeved and placed in top loaders meant for jumbos. Would be nice if they returned them, such a hassle to grade jumbos

Has the majority of your submissions taken the full Turnaround time?
Is PSA generally more lenient or more strict on jumbo cards?(if i expect a 6, should i readjust and expect a 7? vice versa).

My last jumbo submission was just over a year ago when they were pretty fast. But I wouldn’t expect that now.

In my opinion they are normal strict. Had a submission come back all 6s lol. But there’s more surface of the card to look at, more defects to catch.

I sent in a 13 Jumbo card submission that was received Nov 12th. It moved to grading status Jan 13. Expected completion shows March 6th.

Anyone else having trouble accessing their PSA account? I’ve tried logging in on pc and phone app, but keep getting this error after entering my email. No ad blockers or anything so not sure what the issue is. Been a couple days now of no access. Already sent PSA an email last night, but they haven’t responded.
